Annie live in Kedah, northern region of Peninsula Malaysia. She has been belly dancing since 2003. She took her first belly dance class and became hooked on this ancient dance art. Apart from having received certificate of Teaching Training in Yalla- Bina School, she also immersed herself in the dance form, studying with internationally known master teachers. Since then, she has studied American Cabaret, Classic & Modern Egyptian, Turkish Rom & Gypsy. The process of learning is what inspires her to keep dancing.
In 2005, Annie began teaching belly dance. Annie's practice bring excellence in service to all of her dance classes. She earned the reputation of supporting students through their belly dance journey.
In Jan of 2007, Arabesque Belly Dance's Troupe was born. Whether you are trained dancer from another genre or have never studied belly dance, at Arabesque Belly Dance Centre you will be shimmying from the very first class.
Annie frequently travel to Indonesia and Singapore to further her knowledge of the dance culture and improves the techniques and authenticity of the various forms of the dance she teaches. Her most recently trip was Egypt where she was inspired by the Islamic art, exotic costumes and music at bazaar and their local dancers.
To expand her horizons she also studied American Tribal Style belly dance, and then studied extensively traditional Egypti an Folklore, oriental foundation and American Tribal Style (FCBD) of Carolena Nericcio format officially with Nigma.
Annie love to dance and enjoy teaching. It's give her the chance to connect student, build their self- esteem, feel the music, and just dance, dance and move with it. Her life is full of little ones, family and lots of furry friends beside that she is still constantly working to improve and perfect her dance skills.
In March 2009 she participated in Ultimate Oriental Dance Teacher Training System conducted by Hadia.
